WWII ARMY JEEP PULL FOR CHARITY

Turtle Strength was proud to support "A Night for Digger" Anzac Day event took place at Sanctuary Lakes Park in Palmerston which raised over $1,500 for Mates4Mates charity.

The event kicked off with a vehicle tow of a WWII Army Jeep by Clinton, Matthew and Kris from the Palmerston War Memorial through to Sanctuary Lakes Park in Gunn. The vehicle tow was cheered on by Palmerston locals as it navigated through Palmerston. Over 200 locals attended the movie fundraising event, which featured the Australian film “Red Dog" in an open-air setting.

All proceeds from donations will go directly to Mates4Mates, a respected organisation dedicated to support veterans and their families through physical rehabilitation, mental health services, and social connection programs.

"A NIGHT FOR DIGGER"

Digger was a bulldog mascot for Australian soldiers in World War I, adopted by Sergeant James Harold Martin. He served in significant battles including Gallipoli and the Western Front, and returned to Australia with Martin, living in Sydney until his death. Digger's story highlights the enduring bond between soldiers and their loyal animal companions, symbolizing courage and resilience during war.
